Using LimeSurvey for KohaCon votes

This details LimeSurvey settings used in the organization of the KohaCon19 location vote.

Creating a survey

On your dashboard, choose "Create survey"

Creation form

• Base language: English
• Survey title: give a significant title to the survey
  • For example: KohaConXX Location
• Sample question: Off
• Description: enter a brief description of the poll (you may use HTML markup here)
• Welcome message: enter the full description of the poll, including bid information and links (you may use HTML markup here)
• End message: enter a thank you message, mention when the winner will be announced

General options

• (Optional) End URL: this is used to redirect users after the poll
• (Optional) URL description: used to describe the above URL
• Date format: choose the date format that will be used in your survey (since the community is international, prefer the ISO 8601 format, which is yyyy-mm-dd)
• Decimal mark: choose whether to use dots or commas for decimals
• Administrator: enter the title of the administrator, you can leave this to the default Administrator
• Admin email: enter your email address (this will be displayed so voters can contact you if they have problems)
• Bounce email: enter your email address
• (Optional) Fax to: (do people still use fax machines?)
• Format: choose "All in one"
• Template: choose the template you want

Presentation & navigation

• Show welcome screen: On
• Navigation delay (seconds): 0
• Allow backward navigation: Off
• Show question index / allow jumping: Disabled
• Show on-screen keyboard: Off

• Participants may print answers: Off
