There should be a way to turn off the tax completely as well since in the US libraries are not charged tax and having these lines all over are confusing. So in addition to a sys pref for the VAT amount, a preference to turn off all lines referring to VAT (or any tax rate). --Nengard 01:16, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

I think they don't want to see it anywhere, so on the receipt screen, order screen anywhere, rather than having a column that is always 0 everywhere. --Chris 06:52, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Exactly what I meant - setting it to zero doesn't remove it from all screens and it should. If the library doesn't use tax rates then options to enter tax rate (and printouts including a 0% tax rate) are not necessary. --Nengard 12:33, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
