Place

Option 1 - Jitsi Meet

  • https://meet.jit.si/KohaDocsTeam (current browser with WebRTC support; the latest Firefox, Google Chrome and Chromium on Ubuntu all seem okay)
  • Test out your connection including sound, video and desktop sharing
  • Features (hopefully it will work okay):
    • Chat window
    • Video and audio
    • Share desktop
    • Secure
    • Anonymous - no registration required
    • Android and iOS apps
    • See https://jitsi.org/jitsi-meet/ for more information

Option 2 - Big Blue Button

  • An alternative in case Jitsi Meet doesn't work as intended
  • https://demo.bigbluebutton.org/b
  • Designed for a teaching and learning environment and online classrooms
  • Seems to have a nice way to orientate you when first getting started
  • Only downside is Flash is used for some parts (desktop sharing), but an HTML 5 version is in the works
  • Use same meeting name KohaDocsTeam

Note: while something like Google Hangouts or Skype could be used, we are trying to use an open source source solution as much as possible. Ideally something that is as easy as possible to use.
