Description: * Librarian marks an item "claimed returned" from the Patron Details screen. On the Patron Details screen on the Checkouts tab, we will add an additional column beside the "Renew" and "Check In" columns. The new column will be "Claims Returned."
  • Librarian could also mark an item "claims returned" from the Item Details screen (where you currently change lost status).
  • When the item is marked "claimed returned," it will move from the Checkouts tab on the Patron Details screen to a new tab called "Lost." The "Lost" tab will list all items this patron has either lost or claimed returned.
  • Once the item has been marked "claimed returned," no fee will be charged.
  • The item will remain on the patron's record so you can track how many times he/she has said, "I returned that."
  • The item will show as "lost" in the OPAC and "claimed returned" in the staff client.
  • If the patron finds and returns the item later, the librarian will be able to check it in and remove the claimed returned status.
