Import/Export All System Preferences
For 3.2, Howard County Library would like to propose adding the option to allow system administrators to import and export all system preferences.
Benefits
- Allows system administrators to easily backup and restore configurations without needing to know SQL
- Easily moving from one Koha installation to the next
- Allows the community to easily share and troubleshoot each others configurations
Technical Notes
- Two links would be added under Koha Administration, one for exporting and one for importing system preferences
- System preferences would be exported in multiple XML files (global_system_preferences.xml, libraries.xml, funds.xml, etc...) or downloaded as one zip file containing several xml files. Storing these preferences as XML files would also make them easy to read and understand.
