Staff Dashboard

Description: The Admin main page has a lot of empty space that could be utilised for library

wide information. Other ILS show local and global information on various pages e.g.

  • Number of currently checked out items
  • Number of items in my branch
  • Number of overdues
  • Total Bibs catalogued in last 7 days.

We propose to add a Dashboard table to the Admin main page with various library specific data on display.

Requirements:

  • New syspref “DashBoardDisplayed” On/Off.
  • New DashBoard.pm module
  • Modification to mainpage.pl
  • Modification to intranet-main.tt
  • Modification to Auth.pm
  • Addition to admin.pref file

This might well relate to some of the gamification stuff. To my mind, this is quite similar to some of the guild based interface options out there. Some Ideas for Widgets

Administration

In Administration – If DashBoardDisplayed=On staff user should see some predetermined library specific data.
